HOW TO ROLL BACK TO DX FIRMWARE AND UPDATE TO S8500DXJL3 THRU KIES

Im not sure if this will work for other counties...Im from Philippines so all my settings (pre-config;product code,etc) are configured to my specific country.Here is the procedure on how I successfully revert my firmware to DX (previously I was using European firmware) through couple of days searching....

1. Manually flash your firmware to S8500DXJEA FULL :
   a. Here is the link to file: You are not allowed to view links.

2. Set your CSC Pre-config setting to XTC(Philippines)
    a. Click the Keypad and type *#5239870*# choose 2 Pre-configuration
    b. Type *#27236*# then confirm
    c. Choose XTC as CSC Pre-config then Install

3. Update S8500 DXJEA to S8500DXJH1-UP without ticking BOOT CHANGE;FULL DOWNLOAD;MASTER ROM

4. Change your Product Code permanently: for me its XTC(Philippines)
    a. Download Qualcomm Drivers : You are not allowed to view links.

    b. Download PSAS 1.5 : You are not allowed to view links.

    c. Download the procedure : You are not allowed to view links.

    d. Set your phone to USB DM/CP : type *#197328640#  [8] Common --> [7] SERVICE Configuration--> [2] DIAG SERVICE Config --> [2]          USB DM/CP
    e. Connect the phone to PC using USB cable
    f.  Install Qualcomm Drivers
    g. Install PSAS 1.5 then Run.
    h. Follow the procedure ( letter c )
    i.  Disconnect the cable
    j.  Reset your phone to UART/AP :type *#197328640#  [8] Common --> [7] SERVICE Configuration--> [2] DIAG SERVICE Config --> [3]UART/AP

5. Run regedit on PC: Follow  HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Samsung \ Kies (right click on Kies then delete it)

6. Uninstall old Kies and Install Kies 2.0 : You are not allowed to view links.

 Samsung Kies must detect your phone from this moment and it must give you an option that a new firmware version is ready to be installed
 
If I have forgotten something or if the procedure is not clear to you, just  reply to my post and I will answer you queries as much as I can. I am not a Samsung tech or something, I am just a Samsung wave owner who wants to maximize and explore my phone's capabilities that's why  my phone also undergo several times of manual flashing and configuration before I come up with this....

even so, im not so convinced. what's the difference when you flashed the phone?
i have this phone for around weeks only, that's why im afraid. hahahahaha

if you had this phone for just a week only and you bought it here in the philippines,why do you have to flash to jl3? you can use kies directly because your on dx already.

IMPORTANT: Before I forgot,once you have updated your phone to DXJL3, DON'T try to HARD RESET it (by typing *2767*3855#) coz your phone will be caught into loophole restarting...I don't know the reason behind it but I have tried it. Be cautious in here....

mine is DXJL1. is that the latest from kies?

Oh goodthing whenever i flashed or upgrade my phone through kies I never done a hard reset.
Coz its hard to set my wifi connection and mms messaging and usually network provider charge
you for that kind of staff.

so how would we hard reset if we wanted to?

Just type *2767*3855# and it will reset your phone...I only hard reset my phone if I manually flash it ( like S8500DXJEA full ) but once I update it thru kies,the phone continously reboots...Maybe the new firmware has no bootfiles or FFS, its only my observation...

Hi jaden.  i upgraded my wave to JL3 through kies last week but had problems afterwards forcing me to do a hard reset and what a big mistake. my phone keeps on rebooting and turn itself off. my searching for solutions ended here.  i have successfully flashed to s8500dxjea via your guide.  can i not just connect my wave to kies and let it update itself?  i was having problems with mediafire and cannot download the dxjh1.

Yes its dxjl3 now...just follow jaden's guide

That's problem of your's happened to me when I followed Adfree's
guide. And I think there are 3 reasons why. 1st, that guide was dead
coz at that time samsung made a patch to block that guide. 2nd, I think
maybe I did not reset my phone's uart/ap. And 3rd, I only did rollback to
dxjea and I was not able to upgrade it to dxjh1 coz I don't have that firmware
at that time, though, I've search for it in the net but not able to find it, and I thought
that dxjh1 or later asian version should be needed to successfully upgrade to
the official version. But before I've done Adfree's guide I think even if I successfully
follow the guide this still won't work but I did it anyway.

So, after doing all of adfree's guide the same problem occurred to me that cool_naruto's having.
What i did to fix it I reinstall samsung driver manually by changing back the driver from quallcom driver
to samsung driver and then reflash it back to dxjea again so that my pc detect my phone again.

And thanks to jaden again, that his full guide, finally, that kies accept my phone to do an upgrade
to the official one. But sometimes kies can't detect my phone so what I did every time this happens
I just reinstall the samsung driver through kies option.
