Finally Bada's version of Papago M7 is available for Malaysia and Singapore after Taiwan selling at RM49.50 (S$13.00) Grab it if you are interested. You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginScreen-shot Video preview (Taiwan version)Review by firestonezThanks firestonez for the review who is also the member here... i copied his review from other forum and share with you guys here The interface is nice and easy to use main menu got 1. My list (history of recent navi) 2. Post code (only for singapore) 3. Road search 4. POI search 5. Map view 6. POIs Nearby 7. Coordinate 8. Setting From my point of view the setting is kinda limited if compared with Route66. Setting only have 1. Routing options -> vehicle - recomended -> vehicle - shortest distance -> vehicle - highway avoid -> pedestrian 2. ui language -> chinese -> english -> malay -> indo 3. voice type -> chinese (mandarin, hokkien, hakka, cantonese) -> english -> malay -> indo 4. day/night switch -> auto -> day -> night 5. auto zooming 6. north-up in 2d **For the map it's huge. 300Mb++ of size and will be release on monthly basis. It able to find every place that i can think of. But the map got some bug. You can read itYou are not allowed to view links. Register or Login here . **You must download that map from You are not allowed to view links. Register or Loginpapago website then update to latest release from You are not allowed to view links. Register or Loginmalfreemaps . You cannot direct using map from malfreemaps cause it not complete set. **The interface kinda laggy when scrolling between menu. According to him, install to phone memory may reduce the laggy interface problem. **For searching road and POI, Papago is the fastest if compare with route66 and navfone. **Duration to get position locked same as other navigation apps. It depends on which firmware you are using. **The only downside is the limited option/setting.

Here is the link to Papago SG+ MY: You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginAnybody has experience with Papago in Malaysia before? Or anybody willing to spend RM49.50 to try? I've tried Route 66 and it's a terrible navigation program. Following its voice instruction will screw up your journey badly. It's not worth spending RM100 for a lifetime license. Hopefully this is better.

Not very sure it is good or bad... At least something good branded navigation apps came up to bada store. By looking at Taiwan papago version it actually got 2 stars only... and i think it is cheapest paid navigation apps at the moment. I'm sure the upcoming Sygic Aura's GPS apps will be very expensive too.

@Kenny If not mistaken, Route 66 for Malaysia's Wave is already pre-installed with free life time licensed.

@zamha2157 I mean we can use it for whole life without pay the license fee. And of course we still need to pay the fee for data transfer.

@kcy1606
i get what u mean..but from my experience, the software is bundled in our wave, but for the navigation mode to function (calculating routes, voice command on route, etc) u stil hv to purchase it's license after the 30 day trial expired..u can still download maps thru the route 66 website, but no navigation mode until u subscribe..
i'm using the navfone apps & currently they r quite okay compared to route 66..all the time i'm using it it can show the place i'm going & calculate the route..that's around Klang Valley & yesterday in Temerloh, Pahang...i'm quite impressed actually with it & for that i wont b hard resetting my phone after upgrades coz i'll lose the app & it is no longer available for free at our app store..
1 more thing, it locked in position quite fast nowadays..yesterday in a very cloudy condition with lite rain pouring down, i managed to get gps position in a little more than a minute..i think this started to happen after upgrading to DXJH1..

@kcy1606, the Route66 map is free but navigation is only free for 30 days trial. After that have to pay RM100 (if I remember correctly) for lifetime license. After using for trials in Klang Valley, not impressed with Route66 but at least can download maps from all over the world for free. Road maps are quite detailed but very few landmarks limit its usefulness. @zamha2157, navfone can still download free from S'pore store. Tried it and found it very bare bones with menu items in full version stripped off so not easy to use. Maps for Klang Valley are outdated. I don't mind paying for a proper paid version but the company seems not interested. Now I'm waiting for user reviews of Papago. The price seems reasonable.

Not really useless. You can still use the maps with GPS to locate your position. If you know how go to an area you can drive there and complete your journey using the map. Another thing I discovered, even with navigation off the map will still update as you drive.

Very unfair. Per capita income in S'pore is much higher than Malaysia but we have to pay more. Maybe they are pricing it on the basis that the S'pore map is much smaller than Malaysia.

(Im using route66 , navfone ) JH1

Lol~I don't think so. Singaporean still can use Malaysia maps if they travel to Malaysia, is it? Or they can only use Papago in Singapore?
