The newest Kies version 2.0.2.11701_128_2 was forced to me as an update since the older kies version i had couldnt access the samsung appstore anymore since there was this new samsung apps update which blocks the page unless i update. Grudgingly and with much trepidation i performed the stupid update. When the update is finished im really surprised because the Samsung App store icon is nowhere to be found!! Im really angry!! I tried reinstalling the older version to no avail since the samsung apps update blocks the samsung store again, forcing the update. Why is Samsung punishing its customers like this? I have 1.48gb of downloads from the Philippines Samsung Apps store and stupid Kies cant see it now. This is getting me really furious i want to go over there and shake those programmers who made this abomination, this travesty of software that makes me nervous each time it has a stupid update because it never does what its supposed to do. It keeps breaking things instead of fixing things. Ive sent email but knowing the corporate world im not holding out much hope. Im just so frustrated.

Open up regedit and go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Samsung\
Export a copy of the samsung tree just in case - then delete the Kies and Kies2.0 nodes.
Restart Kies and you should be fine.

ok finally after removing the newest kies then using regedit to remove nodes of kies and kies 2, then reinstalling the latest kies, used regedit again to remove kies and kies 2 nodes, restarted the pc, finally i got the samsung store again and my downloaded apps.
Thanks for the help simon, but just like what i said before Kies updates always makes me nervous, it does break things more often than not, also samsung support up to now still cant give me an answer, i mean why dont they check thoroughly their software before forcing an update? If i didnt know about this forum where would other people go to get answers since samsung tech support doenst have the answer yet?

There is a Very simple solution for this Problem I resolved it quite well with no issues and is working great.. Uninstall the latest version after performing a system restore if u can.. tht way u get to the old version.. Now go to this location - Program Files - Samsungs - Kies - Plugins and Copy "Astore" and "StoreLib" Then go to Program Files - Samsung - Kies - Common .. and search for a file "Kies.Common.StoreManager.dll".. copy this file as well and store all this files to a different location.. Once done.. Upgrade the latest software.. but before U open the software.. Paste this files to the original Location.. it works absolutely fine 100% result guranteed.. I did it it worked for me.. now its ur turn to try it.
really working 100%

Hi, I also face the same issue, but I got it fixed after 3-4 hours of struggle. It’s simple task, 1) Open the registry edit by typing “regedit” on run command. 2) Go to [Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Samsung\Kies2.0\] 3) There, right click “UpdateVersion” and click “Modify…” 4) Copy the “Value data:” (ex : “2.0.2.11071_128”) and cancel 5) Then right click the “LocalVer” and click “Modify…” 6) Paste the copied “Value data:” from “UpdateVersion” (instead of old value ex: “2.0.2.11071_33”) and click ok 7) Close regedit and open Kies and see Thanks… You need to do it before the Kies auto update.. If you already did the auto update, uninstall the new kies version and install the old kies again (but do not auto update the kies)Please find the attachment for image help... Need to mention one thing guys… I have a Samsung Wave II, which is a great good looking phone and I can give 10/10, but for Bada OS I can only give 7/10. And for the Kies and Samsung App Store, -20/10 (minus 20 out of 10). Kies and Samsung app store is a total shit for me and it’s trying make this wonderful phone to a piece of junk. I don’t know why most the Andriod apps and games are free and Bada is not. And if anyone wants to find out how idiots do work and the outcome of a idiot work, just use kies and Samsung app store .

You need to do it before the Kies auto update.. If you already did the auto update, uninstall the new kies version and install the old kies again (but do not auto update the kies).
Sorry i forgot to mention that previously...
Thanks.......

Had this issue and all I did to fix was change the region from US to UK, restart Kies and the App store icon appeared and was just prompted to enter credentials to regain my apps. If you llok in the screen shoots in Yesh's post you will see the reion is saying US, so it seems the installtion of the update automatically changes your region to US.

Hey guys No need to do so much trouble because of that. I've just found in my System Restore files the old version of the file AStorePlugin.dll, replaced it in C:\Program Files\Samsung\Kies\Plugins\AStore and now everything is back to normal. I've uploaded it for you in case you don't have a backup. You should simply replace the existing one with this. Better to make first a backup of the existing one You are not allowed to view links.
